Transfer Analysis Reports
What is a Transfer Analysis Report
A Transfer Analysis Report, as its name implies, is a report that assesses and analyses the growth rate required to give
you the same pension as you currently have if you were to transfer to another place (usually a Personal Pension or Section 32
Buy Out Policy).
Content
In addition to the growth rate required the report will also compare different elements of the pension using various graphs
and tables. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) state how the fundamental content of the report must be to ensure the
industry is looking at the subject, of transferring and growth of a pension, in a consistent and accurate way.
Some transfer analysis reports will literally compare "the minimum" the FSA enforce. Although firms who produce
these types of reports are entitled to this viewpoint O&M have taken a different stance.
Comprehensive Report
We feel a pension is a very important financial consideration and therefore prefer to assess the issues in far more detail.
Our report will normally consist of 24 pages, and will cover issues such as Normal Retirement Pensions, Early Retirement Pensions,
Tax Free Cash Amounts, Benefits in the Event of Death, Investment Performance and more technical pension matters.
O&M's report will therefore quote your company pension benefits, looking at each of the detailed subjects noted above,
and compare them against the benefits a Personal Pension or Section 32 Buy Out Policy would provide if you were to transfer
into them.
